spring is in the air :D

Alhamdulilah went to the JIMAS Conference this month after 6 years!!!! met a lot of Londoners on our floor and played hid and seek with two great little kids :D

we also woke to the sound of a fire alarm like 7.30 in the morning.....SOME people (not mentioning any names but you know who you are!!) thought that i set it off!

i also turned 23 this month.....i just feel the same to be honest!

went to Bradford the other day with JK......got me lost....and took me to all these dead end routes! but despite all of that managed to get there with 30min to spare. decided to go eat a this take out....it was absolutely disgusting!!!! the mayo tasted like fat and the chicken was saturated in oil...chips were ok but because the mayo was all over it, felt absolutely sick!!!

been at a management training over the last 2 days- really nice hotel and spa plae, was very posh. glad i went- managed to network with a few people and insha Allah going to set up a few meetings so we can work together on something

it'll be interesting to see who gets in government next week- i pray whoever it is insha Allah and help get the UK back on its feet. also with Local Counicl and not cut back on funding and services more than they already have! the saying is true- people don't realise or appreciate what they hace until its gone....i'm sure there was a song about that!

Alhamdulilah other good news...... we have the first Muslim Vice President of NUS- Allahu Akbar! i'm really proud of his achievement and i pray that Allah makes it easy for him and his family. Ameen

there was the whole issue of the volcano in Iceland that erupted- Subhan Allah i still can't believe that the whole of Britain and Europe grounded to a halt and couldn't fly in or out for about a week or so.

this reminded me how- one of the signs of Yawm ul Qiyyama is that there's going to be 3 great big fires across the world. one in the east, one in the west and the other Yemen- and how everyone will be able to see them. i always wondered how is that possible? how can we see a fir that's like thousands of miles away....? and the volcanic eruption that happened a few weeks ago just showed and proved to me- that it is possible and CAN happen and shows the awesome Power and Might of Allah (SWT) Allahu Akbar!

i'll just quickly summarise what i learnt and took from each talk at the Conference:

JIMAS 1: People are losing the taste for Tawheed and Aqeedah but we are excelling in doing Da'wah for Islam. We think we're doing well but we're leaving knowledge.

JIMAS 2: Conviction of correct belief is the foundation and driving force to lead you to do righteous deeds. Need all 3: Emaan = Utterance x Action x Conviction

JIMAS 3: Our problem is not lack of knowledge but with our reception of it. Our heart is veiled with sins, thus not allowing the light to penetrate through.

JIMAS 4: We should have respect for Allah's creation as everything was created for a purpose e.g. Surah Mulk, Verse 67. We owe rights to Allah and His creations.

JIMAS 5: Never despair Allah's mercy when you commit a sin even if you hate yourself for it. Lose the sin, never justify it or undermine it. Follow bad with good deeds.

JIMAS 6: When you ask, ask of Allah. Allah should be the focus and centre of all our activities. Like doing Tawaaf around the Ka'bah, we should rotate our lives around Him.

JIMAS 7: Do and learn something better than the previous day. Islamic knowledge teaches us the shortcuts to Paradise. You can only do something with help from Allah.

JIMAS 8: Maintaining the dignity is when every individual realises his potential. If we are the right person for the job we hsould take it and not have false humbleness.

JIMAS 9: To render justice is the most npblest of actions next to worshipping Allah (SWT). Your love and hatred for someone should not cause you to be unjust.

JIMAS 10: Islam harmonises everything as a whole, through spirituality and worldly matters. Prophet (SAW) conquered Makkah- what the sword and war couldn't accomplish, love did.

JIMAS 11: Four things we need to know:
  1. you are never too young
  2. be busy
  3. discover your talents and be true to yourself
  4. be ambitous and set the bar high

JIMAS 12: The heart is the king of the organs in the body. Therefore the King of all Kings wants our hearts, and to be in full love and rememberance of Him (SWT)

JIMAS 13: Whilst being steadfast we should have sound faith and not even have a grain of Shirk present. Increase and keep the positive energy to increase our Imaan.

JIMAS 14: Obligation to Da'wah: All Prophets (AS) were ordered to spread the message, and after the Prophet (SAW) left, it is up to us to take this message forward.

JIMAS 15: No matter what good work we are doing, we should ask Allah (SWT) to accept it from us and make Du'a to Him. Ibrahim (AS) made Du'a to Allah, to accept his Du'as.

JIMAS 16: Tazkiyah should be done to cleanse your soul. Believer's life is full of light. Allah (SWT) has given us all these faculties, so what have you done for the Deen.

- Alhamdulilah some fantastic reminders!

on a seperate note- i've got my Tajweed Exam tomorrow so please make Du'a i pass it!!!

also organised a hustings with MP's from Oldham West and Royton- really important we get people to vote because we've got BNP candidate running and we don't want them getting any seats. so please mak Du'a that goes well.

finally i ask Allah (SWT) to accept all the efforts of everyone who is doing something for the Deen- whether through an Islamic organisation or befriending some or at work.

and for those in education and final year at Uni.....we've all been through it.....just put up with those late nights and stresses for a few more weeks until it's over and done with :D

may everything we do weigh heavily on the scale of good deeds in the Akhira. Ameen

rewarded for being annoyed......!

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful.

I can't think of where i'd be without Islam. Honestly thinking about it, my life would be a complete shambles and a great mess if i didn't believe in Allah (SWT)- and even when trials and tests are put to me and i just feeling like giving up (which does happen!) just simply believing and knowing that it's to make me a better person, gets me through with the support of people around me Alhamdulilah :D

I was quite annoyed the other day (for reasons i won't mention :P ) but i came across this Hadith and Subhan Allah it seemed directly aimed at me and the situation i was in!!! I shall quoute it now insha Allah:

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:

The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“The believer who mixes with people and bears their annoyance with patience will have a greater reward than the one who does not mix with people and does not put up with their annoyance.

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (5207) and Ibn Maajah (4032)

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT??????????????

We get annoyed at people- yet Allah rewards us for bearing with it and putting up with it!!

Seriously God is Great!!

On another note- to all those studying their finals or just plain studying, may Allah make it easy for you and make you the top amongst the nation and even the world!!! why not? let's think big people!!!

also with the rest of us who are working- may Allah make it a means for us to spread the message of Islam through our Adhab and the way we carry ourselves, purify the way we earn our wealth and the way we spend it....as there will be two questions in Yawm ul Qiyyama about our finances: 1) how we earnt it 2) how we spent it

Alhamdulilah- finally found that Hadith!!!!

The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he has been questioned about four things): his life - how he spent it, his knowledge - how he acted upon it, his wealth - where he earned it and how he spent it, and his body - how he used it.”

Asalaamualakum!

i can't believe it's already the end of Feb Subhan Allah!

this month has been jam packed with events activities- and i don't think one week went by without an Isoc talk!

one of the highlights of this month though has to be my second trip to London when i went down for this Leadership Dinner.

I was picked up NA and JA around 35mins before my coach was about to leave- we hit practically every single traffic light you could think of....but Alhamdulilah they dropped me off 15mins before the time....and then the coach came 20mins late!!!!

had a safe journey there and actually got there half an hour before we were suppose to- despite the fact we left late.

then i decided to walk it because it didn't seem far from the google map i checked the night before...so there i was walking along and not a clue where i was going and went into a shop to ask for directions- the shopkeeper told me to ask security across the road

so crossed over the road and asked security and they told me roughly where it was and that it would be quite a walk....whilst walking away i realised it was Buckingham Palace Gardenss!!!!

found the park area that was described to me and i kep walking and ended up in another square...didn't have a clue where i was so i went into this Church and heard the organ being played...didn't want to disturb the guy so walked to the back and realised no one was there- turned round to find the guy staring at me. let the man know i was lost and asked him for directions to where i needed to go and he didn't have a clue what i was on about and sent me back to the park i jut came from

ended up back in the park i was at originally and one of the map sellers asked if i was ok and i told him i was lost and tryin to find this hotel- he gave me directions....and i ended up back at the coach station area.....then the same area where that church was....kept walking down this long road and asked this guy where i could find the hotetl- he told me i was quite a while away but if i kept walking till i saw this round buliding then take a righ, then a left at Hyde Park, walk a bit more and then take another right i'd find it

so managed to get to Hyde Park then crossed over to this burger van to ask for directions- and he told me to take 2nd left and ask again at the Hilton

ended up taking the FIRST left and saw the Hilton across the road...saw another map seller and he tol me i was only 10moims away and to keep walkin and i'll find it

Alhamdulilah i finally found the hotel and i went in...the guy at the door nwas French and said HE couldn't understand ME!!!!

so he told me to go to the receptionist....so i got there- it was a seriously posh hotel people! and i tell the guy why i'm there and he asks if i have a room reservation...to which i respond no, then he asks if i have the right hotel- i was ike yeah such such hotel....he was like this isn't the one there's another one and told me to go diagnally across pass the US embassy and then find it there

so i do what he says and find the flags and i end up away from the area so i pop into a shop and ask the people there...they were like yes, you have to go back and you'll see the embassy with a big American flag on top then take a right

when walking i indeed see the big American flag and embassy and realise the flag i saw earlier was actually the British one :D

i spotted some security guards with big fat machine guns and went upto them...one eyed me whilst i approached (had a rucksack with me!) and when i explained i was looking for this hotel he was like yeah it's just around the corner

Alhamdulilah i found the hotel.........an hour and half later!!!!!!!!

got me thinking that Allah (SWT) has given us a guide and manual for this life- let's not avoid it but use it and utilise it to get to our destination the best way and directly rather than being led astray by taking random paths.

mango juice and rice in Jannah :D

Asalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamualaykum!

What a month it has been into this new year, this new decade Subhan Allah.

The Haiti earthquake- not once but twice it struck; fundraising for Gaza where Alhamdulilah around £1,700 was raised; seeing NC's new baby Masha Allah :D; yesterday the Iraq Inquiry where Blair said he'd do it again if he had to and showed no remorse- the guy should be tried and tested and jailed!; the abysmal weather conditions over the last few weeks- but Alhamdulilah it was sunny today!!!!

There have also been several deaths of people that i've heard of, and friends and family i know of as well. Nothing more realistic than to see the body of the deceased to remind us of our destination and the reason why we're all here.

JK told me last time i saw her that there are five lives that all humans have (no, not the reincarnation type!). But it made sense how it was explained:

1. the Covenant: the gathering where you and i, and everybody else, said we all believed and acknowledged that Allah is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and the Master of the Universe.

2. the womb: yes, our time in the womb is another life stage that we all go through

3. Dunya: the life we're living right now is a part of that life stage as well

4. grave: the life in the grave and the punishments we'll receive- may Allah save us from the torments of it. Ameen

5. Akhira: this, as everyone knows, is where we will reside for eternity.

May Allah (SWT) save us from the punishment of the hell fire and enter us all into Jannat ul Firdous. Ameen

This is a bit off topic, and totally random but i feel the need to mention it insha Allah :D

Went to a talk the other week about Jannah and the Sheikh that was delivering was Subhan Allah such an amazing and beautiful man!!! some of the girls went a bit stupid, but that's girls for you! I had to sit somewhere where i couldn't see him, so that i wouldn't look at him. The way i explained it to one friend was, that it was like staring at a mountain- you could just look at it for ages and not get tired from looking at it, that's how beautiful the Sheikh was Alhamdulilah.

I always wondered about the Hadith where one of the Companion (RA) looked at the moon and then looked at our Prophet (SAW), and then back at the moon again- and judged that the Prophet (SAW) was more luminous than the moon; I couldn’t comprehend and understand the Hadith and how beautiful he (SAW) is, but now I understand the comparison of it. Also if Yusuf (AS) was a very beautiful man as well, imagine the true beauty of Rasul (SAW)- where we know that he (SAW), is far more beautiful than Yusuf (AS). Another thing is that none of the older Companions would look directly at the face of Rasul (AS), and the Ahadiths mnetioned are by Companions who were young or children at the time who would just stare at the Prophet (SAW) and remember the way he looked- Allahu Akbar!

Insha Allah I make Du’a that we get see our Prophet (SAW) in the dreams that we have, and the only way we can do that is to study his seerah and the description and characteristics that was given to us by the Companions. If this is not attainable then I ask Allah to bless us with the company of the Prophet (SAW) and the Companions (RA) in the Akhira, where we can sit around with them and have some mango juice and some nice, hot, spicy, rice and curry with them. Ameen.

"And hold fast all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you) and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favor on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love so that by His grace ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make his signs clear to you: that ye may be guided." Noble Qur'an (3:103)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 1431AH

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

A bit late i know, but insha Allah better late than never! I find it amazing how the first day of Muharram last Friday was also the first day of the snow storms across the UK and all over Subhan Allah.

I was walking to work on Monday (trying not to trip over in the ice and snow!) when i came to the top path of the subway i saw this beautiful red fox with a black tail just in front of me, it looked at me and then ran off into the bushes then turned and looked again and left....it was a really beautiful sight Subhan Allah. The first that i had was that it reminded me of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe :D

I thought i saw a robin as well but it didn't have a red undercoat so i don't think it was.

I don't want to dwell too much on the snow but i'll find it really funny if it all diappears by Christmas Day- so much for the white Christmas!!!!!

Alhamdulilah my work is going well.........though i never realised how hard it is to work by yourself and have no collegaues or people to talk and discuss things with! But Alhamulilah apart from that it's going really well and i'm enjoying it!

Anyway people, it's the Day of Ashura this weekend insha Allah so make sure you fast both days if you can and make Du'a for me :D

The dates are 9th (26th) Saturday and 10th (27th) Sunday December.

I leave with some Hadiths as to the story and recommendations of fasting on Ashura:

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 218:

Narrated Salim's father:

The Prophet said, "Whoever wishes may fast on the day of 'Ashura'."

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 219:

Narrated 'Aisha:

Allah's Apostle ordered (the Muslims) to fast on the day of 'Ashura', and when fasting in the month of Ramadan was prescribed, it became optional for one to fast on that day ('Ashura') or not.

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 220:

Narrated Aisha:

Quraish used to fast on the day of 'Ashura' in the Pre-lslamic period, and Allah's Apostle too, used to fast on that day. When he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered others to fast, too. Later when the fasting of the month of Ramadan was prescribed, he gave up fasting on the day of 'Ashura' and it became optional for one to fast on it or not.

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 221:

Narrated Humaid bin 'Abdur Rahman:

That he heard Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan on the day of 'Ashura' during the year he performed the Hajj, saying on the pulpit, "O the people of Medina! Where are your Religious Scholars? I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'This is the day of 'Ashura'. Allah has not enjoined its fasting on you but I am fasting it. You have the choice either to fast or not to fast (on this day).' "

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 222:

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day).

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 223:

Narrated Abu Musa:

The day of 'Ashura' was considered as 'Id day by the Jews. So the Prophet ordered, "I recommend you (Muslims) to fast on this day."

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 224:

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

I never saw the Prophet seeking to fast on a day more (preferable to him) than this day, the day of 'Ashura', or this month, i.e. the month of Ramadan.

Volume 3, Book 31, Number 225:

Narrated Salama bin Al-Akwa:

The Prophet ordered a man from the tribe of Bani Aslam to announce amongst the people that whoever had eaten should fast the rest of the day, and whoever had not eaten should continue his fast, as that day was the day of 'Ashura' .

The Door of Islam.....

Narrated 'Amr bin Maimun:

I saw 'Umar bin Al-Khattab a few days before he was stabbed in Medina. He was standing with Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman and 'Uthman bin Hunaif to whom he said,

"What have you done? Do you think that you have imposed more taxation on the land (of As-Swad i.e. 'Iraq) than it can bear?"

They replied, "We have imposed on it what it can bear because of its great yield."

'Umar again said, "Check whether you have imposed on the land what it can not bear." They said, "No, (we haven't)."

'Umar added, "If Allah should keep me alive I will let the widows of Iraq need no men to support them after me."

But only four days had elapsed when he was stabbed (to death ). The day he was stabbed, I was standing and there was nobody between me and him (i.e. Umar) except Abdullah bin 'Abbas. Whenever Umar passed between the two rows, he would say, "Stand in straight lines." When he saw no defect (in the rows), he would go forward and start the prayer with Takbir. He would recite Surat Yusuf or An-Nahl or the like in the first Rak'a so that the people may have the time to Join the prayer.

As soon as he said Takbir, I heard him saying, "The dog has killed or eaten me," at the time he (i.e. the murderer) stabbed him. A non-Arab infidel proceeded on carrying a double-edged knife and stabbing all the persons he passed by on the right and left (till) he stabbed thirteen persons out of whom seven died. When one of the Muslims saw that, he threw a cloak on him. Realizing that he had been captured, the non-Arab infidel killed himself, 'Umar held the hand of 'Abdur-Rahman bin Auf and let him lead the prayer. Those who were standing by the side of 'Umar saw what I saw, but the people who were in the other parts of the Mosque did not see anything, but they lost the voice of 'Umar and they were saying, "Subhan Allah! Subhan Allah! (i.e. Glorified be Allah)."

Abdur-Rahman bin Auf led the people a short prayer. When they finished the prayer, 'Umar said, "O Ibn 'Abbas! Find out who attacked me." Ibn 'Abbas kept on looking here and there for a short time and came to say. "The slave of Al Mughira." On that 'Umar said, "The craftsman?" Ibn 'Abbas said, "Yes." 'Umar said, "May Allah curse him. I did not treat him unjustly. All the Praises are for Allah Who has not caused me to die at the hand of a man who claims himself to be a Muslim. No doubt, you and your father (Abbas) used to love to have more non-Arab infidels in Medina." Al-Abbas had the greatest number of slaves. Ibn 'Abbas said to 'Umar. "If you wish, we will do." He meant, "If you wish we will kill them." 'Umar said, "You are mistaken (for you can't kill them) after they have spoken your language, prayed towards your Qibla, and performed Hajj like yours."

Then Umar was carried to his house, and we went along with him, and the people were as if they had never suffered a calamity before. Some said, "Do not worry (he will be Alright soon)." Some said, "We are afraid (that he will die)." Then an infusion of dates was brought to him and he drank it but it came out (of the wound) of his belly. Then milk was brought to him and he drank it, and it also came out of his belly. The people realized that he would die. We went to him, and the people came, praising him. A young man came saying, "O chief of the believers! Receive the glad tidings from Allah to you due to your company with Allah's Apostle and your superiority in Islam which you know. Then you became the ruler (i.e. Caliph) and you ruled with justice and finally you have been martyred." 'Umar said, "I wish that all these privileges will counterbalance (my shortcomings) so that I will neither lose nor gain anything." When the young man turned back to leave, his clothes seemed to be touching the ground. 'Umar said, "Call the young man back to me." (When he came back) 'Umar said, "O son of my brother! Lift your clothes, for this will keep your clothes clean and save you from the Punishment of your Lord." 'Umar further said, "O 'Abdullah bin 'Umar! See how much I am in debt to others." When the debt was checked, it amounted to approximately eighty-six thousand. 'Umar said, "If the property of 'Umar's family covers the debt, then pay the debt thereof; otherwise request it from Bani 'Adi bin Ka'b, and if that too is not sufficient, ask for it from Quraish tribe, and do not ask for it from any one else, and pay this debt on my behalf."

'Umar then said (to 'Abdullah), "Go to 'Aisha (the mother of the believers) and say: "Umar is paying his salutation to you. But don't say: 'The chief of the believers,' because today I am not the chief of the believers. And say: "Umar bin Al-Khattab asks the permission to be buried with his two companions (i.e. the Prophet, and Abu Bakr)." Abdullah greeted 'Aisha and asked for the permission for entering, and then entered to her and found her sitting and weeping. He said to her, "'Umar bin Al-Khattab is paying his salutations to you, and asks the permission to be buried with his two companions." She said, "I had the idea of having this place for myself, but today I prefer Umar to myself." When he returned it was said (to 'Umar), "'Abdullah bin 'Umar has come." 'Umar said, "Make me sit up." Somebody supported him against his body and 'Umar asked ('Abdullah), "What news do you have?" He said, "O chief of the believers! It is as you wish. She has given the permission." 'Umar said, "Praise be to Allah, there was nothing more important to me than this. So when I die, take me, and greet 'Aisha and say: "Umar bin Al-Khattab asks the permission (to be buried with the Prophet ), and if she gives the permission, bury me there, and if she refuses, then take me to the grave-yard of the Muslims." Then Hafsa (the mother of the believers) came with many other women walking with her. When we saw her, we went away. She went in (to 'Umar) and wept there for sometime.

When the men asked for permission to enter, she went into another place, and we heard her weeping inside. The people said (to 'Umar), "O chief of the believers! Appoint a successor." Umar said, "I do not find anyone more suitable for the job than the following persons or group whom Allah's Apostle had been pleased with before he died." Then 'Umar mentioned 'Ali, 'Uthman, AzZubair, Talha, Sad and 'Abdur-Rahman (bin Auf) and said, "Abdullah bin 'Umar will be a witness to you, but he will have no share in the rule. His being a witness will compensate him for not sharing the right of ruling. If Sad becomes the ruler, it will be alright: otherwise, whoever becomes the ruler should seek his help, as I have not dismissed him because of disability or dishonesty." 'Umar added, "I recommend that my successor takes care of the early emigrants; to know their rights and protect their honor and sacred things. I also recommend that he be kind to the Ansar who had lived in Medina before the emigrants and Belief had entered their hearts before them. I recommend that the (ruler) should accept the good of the righteous among them and excuse their wrong-doers, and I recommend that he should do good to all the people of the towns (Al-Ansar), as they are the protectors of Islam and the source of wealth and the source of annoyance to the enemy. I also recommend that nothing be taken from them except from their surplus with their consent. I also recommend that he do good to the 'Arab bedouin, as they are the origin of the 'Arabs and the material of Islam. He should take from what is inferior, amongst their properties and distribute that to the poor amongst them. I also recommend him concerning Allah's and His Apostle's protectees (i.e. Dhimmis) to fulfill their contracts and to fight for them and not to overburden them with what is beyond their ability." So when 'Umar expired, we carried him out and set out walking. 'Abdullah bin 'Umar greeted ('Aisha) and said, "'Umar bin Al-Khattab asks for the permission." 'Aisha said, "Bring him in." He was brought in and buried beside his two companions.

When he was buried, the group (recommended by 'Umar) held a meeting. Then 'Abdur-Rahman said, " Reduce the candidates for rulership to three of you." Az-Zubair said, "I give up my right to Ali." Talha said, "I give up my right to 'Uthman," Sad, 'I give up my right to 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf." 'Abdur-Rahman then said (to 'Uthman and 'Ali), "Now which of you is willing to give up his right of candidacy to that he may choose the better of the (remaining) two, bearing in mind that Allah and Islam will be his witnesses." So both the sheiks (i.e. 'Uthman and 'Ali) kept silent. 'Abdur-Rahman said, "Will you both leave this matter to me, and I take Allah as my Witness that I will not choose but the better of you?" They said, "Yes." So 'Abdur-Rahman took the hand of one of them (i.e. 'Ali) and said, "You are related to Allah's Apostle and one of the earliest Muslims as you know well. So I ask you by Allah to promise that if I select you as a ruler you will do justice, and if I select 'Uthman as a ruler you will listen to him and obey him." Then he took the other (i.e. 'Uthman) aside and said the same to him. When 'Abdur-Rahman secured (their agreement to) this covenant, he said, "O 'Uthman! Raise your hand." So he (i.e. 'Abdur-Rahman) gave him (i.e. 'Uthman) the solemn pledge, and then 'Ali gave him the pledge of allegiance and then all the (Medina) people gave him the pledge of allegiance.

Dhul Hijjah 1430AH

Bismillah,

Subhan Allah the last few days we've heard reports that in Jeddah there's been some serious flooding and that approxiamtely 83 people have passed away. May Allah (SWT) have mercy on the souls of the brothers and sisters during this blessed time. Ameen.

Alhamdulilah my Uncle and Aunty who have gone to Hajj are ok and they didn't realise the weather was bad until they were informed, so thank Allah the Hujjaj aren't affected by it so much.

This 'Eid has been incredible so far and the 'Eid Khutba on Firday was exceptional, with the Imam discussing how the sincerity of our Prophet Ibrahim (AS) would outweigh the sincerity of the whole Ummah put together Subhan Allah. Just put things into perspective when it's simply put like that.

I also remember at the Halaqah that the Ustadh was talking about Akhira and Day of Judgement and stuff and he was talking about Isa (AS) and how he's going to come down and re-affirm he's a Muslim and represent Islam etc. But Ustadh asked us "have you ever thought why Allah (SWT) mentions the signs of Judgment Day as though it's already happen?"....we were silent, waiting for him to tell us and he replied saying "that's how certain it is! it's so certain and it's going to happen, that it may as well have already have happened!"

Allahu Akbar- that was by far one of the most profound things i've heard and which definitely hit as a reminder, that this life is coming to an end quite shortly and we will begin the ultimate test, which insha Allah we should all pass with flying colours through Allah's infinite Rahma.

I just received a phone call a short while ago about the job interview i went for....yeah the child protection act one and.......

*****I GOT THE JOB ALLAHU AKBAR***********

Subhan Allah, Allah (SWT) truly does hear our Du'as as long as we don't give up hope on Him and continuously ask Him and never tire of doing so- it's only when we get tired and lazy of going to Him and asking Him (SWT), that He doesn't respond to us...but by perservering insha Allah we will surely get it, maybe not in this Life but in the next Life for sure if it's good for us.

Allahu Akbar, truly we are ungrateful servants and nothing we ever do can even begin to repay all the favours and blessing He (SWT) has bestwoed upon us but we should no doubt strive to our best insha Allah.

I leave with my favourite Ayah's at the moment insha Allah and my all time favourite Ayah at the end.

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and they will not be tested? [Surah Ankabut: Verse 2]

Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Surah az-Zumar 39:53]
